Acceptable Use

Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) explains permitted and prohibited uses of Illuminated Heart. It helps protect our community, content, and services while preserving a safe, respectful environment for spiritual activation, healing and guidance.
Scope
This AUP applies to all visitors, users, contributors, and guests who access or use the website, its content, interactive features, forums, comment areas, contact forms, event registrations and any services provided through the site.
Permitted use
Users may access, view, and share content for personal, non-commercial, spiritual, educational, and community-building purposes. Permitted activities include:
Reading articles, blog posts, and resource pages.
Listening to or downloading guided meditations and audio when provided for public use.
Registering for events, workshops, or courses and participating in online sessions.
Submitting comments, questions, or testimonials in accordance with the site’s moderation rules.
Contacting staff for support, bookings, or accessibility requests.
Prohibited use
The following uses are strictly prohibited on Illuminated Heart. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or legal action where applicable.
Illegal activity – Using the site to engage in, promote, or facilitate illegal acts, including but not limited to fraud, harassment, hate crimes, or distribution of illegal materials.
Harmful or dangerous advice – Posting or sharing medical, legal, or other professional advice presented as definitive or a substitute for licensed care when it could reasonably cause harm. Spiritual guidance offered on the site is not a replacement for professional medical, legal, or psychiatric treatment.
Hate speech, harassment and threats – Content that attacks, demeans, or threatens individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics is forbidden.
Violence and self-harm – Content that promotes, glorifies, or instructs on self-harm, suicide, or violent acts is prohibited. If content expresses intent to self-harm, we will follow our safety and reporting procedures.
Sexual content and exploitation – Pornographic content, sexual exploitation, or solicitation is not allowed.
Spam, scams and deceptive practices – Unsolicited commercial messages, phishing, pyramid schemes, or deceptive offers are prohibited.
Intellectual property infringement – Uploading, posting, or distributing content that infringes third-party copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights is forbidden. Users must only post content they own or have permission to share.
Malware and security threats – Uploading files or links that contain malware, spyware, viruses, or other harmful code is strictly prohibited.
Unauthorized data collection – Using the site to harvest personal data, scrape content, or collect information about other users without explicit consent is not allowed.
Impersonation and false identity – Pretending to be another person, organization, or Illuminated Heart staff member is prohibited.
User-generated content and moderation
Responsibility – Users are responsible for the content they post. By submitting content, you grant Illuminated Heart a non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and display it on the site and related communications.
Moderation – We reserve the right to review, edit, refuse, or remove any user-submitted content that violates this AUP or our community guidelines.
Reporting – If you see content that appears to violate this AUP, please report it by emailing kourosh@illuminated-heart.com with the page URL and a description of the issue.
Enforcement and consequences
When we become aware of a violation, we may take one or more of the following actions:
Remove or restrict access to offending content.
Issue warnings to the user.
Temporarily or permanently suspend or terminate access to the site.
Report illegal activity to law enforcement or other authorities when required.
Pursue civil or criminal remedies where appropriate.
We will evaluate violations on a case-by-case basis, considering severity, intent and prior conduct.
Appeals
If your content is removed or your access is restricted and you believe this was in error, contact us at kourosh@illuminated-heart.com with:
Your name and contact details.
The URL or description of the removed content.
A clear explanation of why you believe the action should be reconsidered.
We aim to respond to appeals within 10 business days.
Privacy and data handling
We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Personal information gathered through the site (e.g., contact forms, event registrations, newsletter sign-ups) will not be used for unauthorized purposes. Third-party services and links
Illuminated Heart may link to or embed third-party services, platforms, or content.
We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or AUP enforcement of third parties.
Users must follow the terms and policies of any third-party service they use.
Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the revised policy on the site with an updated effective date.
Continued use of the site after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
